Benefiting Hospice of Central Georgia!
Since 1973, Medcen Community Health Foundation has helped to support the health of our entire central Georgia community. Through community-wide philanthropic endeavors, we support a variety of programs that help keep our community healthy.
Among our charitable efforts are The Medical Center of Central Georgia, including its Children’s Hospital and Heart Hospital, and Hospice of Central Georgia. We also fund other charitable efforts that address community health needs and focus on disease prevention, health promotion, and wellness education.
You can help us make a difference in the health of our community. Contact us to learn how you can help change lives through our Generation to Generation campaign. This aggressive 5-year, 17-million dollar capital campaign raises money for projects affecting our community at various stages of their lives. Also, these are healthcare services that we are ensuring for generations to come.
Our 3-pronged campaign is raising money to expand our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and pediatric cancer center to care for Central Georgians at the earliest stages of life. We're also working to upgrade and expand our intensive care units. We want to ensure our critically ill patients and their families that our hospital has the most technologically advanced medical equiment available to care for them and their loved ones. (Fundraising for the ICU project has not begun at this time.) The third aspect of Generation to Generation is fundraising to build an inpatient hospice house. In building a hospice house, patients who require more care than home hospice can provide will have an alternative to a nursing home or the hospital.
